Dear Friends,
As you some of you know, our family has a personal relationship with BC Children's Hospital. Our daughter, Ophelia, was born eight weeks early with a rare kidney condition called Bartter's Syndrome. When Ophelia was born, our family had an incredibly tough time figuring out what our new normal was going to look like. We had biweekly visits to the hospital, weekly blood draws, hourly vomiting and, of course, a lot of stress.
Thankfully, we made it through those initial tough years with the support of BC Children’s Hospital. Without them, Ophelia wouldn't be the happy three-year-old she is today. BC Children’s Hospital was there for my family when we needed them the most and we still use them today. Every time we walk in, we feel welcomed and supported; the Nephrology department truly has become part of our extended family. The hospital is top-notch and we are so very lucky to have it in our own backyard. As the only hospital in the province devoted exclusively to children, almost a million kids count on BC Children’s Hospital.
If you can, please join our family in supporting the BC Children's Hospital Foundation. We are so lucky to have them here in BC.
With love,
The Delisle Family
