Nathaniel was born with a rare genetic mutation that affected his internal organs and specifically his liver. Due to the complications, Nathaniel had been admitted to BC Children's Hospital on numerous occasions since he was born. The hospital and their staff have provided tremendous support and resources in ensuring Nathaniel is well cared and his needs attended to. Nathaniel has become a recognizable patient within the hospital and nurses would often stop to chat and comment on how much he has grown since he was admitted shortly after birth.
As the only hospital in the province devoted exclusively to children, almost one million kids count on BC Children’s Hospital for specialized care they often can’t receive anywhere else.
