Helping to Put Smiles Back Where They Belong!

Welcome to my fundraising page for the 2022 Pie Throw - a Mining for Miracles event in support of BC Children’s Hospital Foundation! I am honoured to be competing in the Teck Team North vs. Team South, representing Trail Operations, in support of the children of our province. This year’s Mining for Miracles’ funding initiative plans to raise $1 million for the Cellular and Regenerative Medicine Centre (CRMC).

The CRMC will give BC Children’s the tools to better understand the genetic cause of heart arrhythmias so they can provide the best possible care to children in BC. It will result in improved diagnoses, identification of optimal treatments, and potentially, cures—improving and saving the lives of children across the province and beyond.

BC Children’s Hospital is the only hospital in the province devoted exclusively to the care of children and is one of the few pediatric medical centres in Canada with a world-class acute care centre, research institute, mental health facility and rehabilitation centre all on a single campus. Over 200,000 children are cared for on an annual basis, including those from the West Kootenays. BC Children’s is truly a provincial hospital that provides crucial services to families when their children are ill or injured.
