What if childhood illness didn’t exist?

While many strides have been made in improving children’s health care, we’ve only scratched the surface when it comes to taking on the biggest health threats facing our kids. Today, 80% of children with cancer survive. That means that one in five kids still do not. That is one kid too many! Every child deserves to go home safe and healthy each day.

A friendly fundraising event that shows our support to all the sick kids that need some extra love.

I am super excited to be competing in the Mining for Miracles Pie Throw this year - an amazing annual fundraising event in support of BC Children’s Hospital.

If you are not familiar with Pie Throw, it is the B.C. mining industry’s signature event in support of BC kids. Each year, senior leaders from across the industry are paired in a friendly fundraising competition. Whoever raises the most funds earns the right to pie the other person. Most years, Pie Throw raises well in excess of $1 million.

This year I am part of Team North that is looking to pie our colleagues from Team South

My Goal: I am personally hoping to contribute $100,000 to the total.
