The Adult Custody Division will be participating in a month long ‘Jean Up’ fundraiser with a goal of raising funds to help kids at BC Children's Hospital get out of their hospital gowns and back into their jeans.
Last year, 99,000 patients visited BC Children’s Hospital—the only hospital in the province devoted exclusively to kids. BC Children’s Hospital provides specialized treatments to children with devastating, and often life threatening illnesses. Fundraising initiatives in support of BC Children’s Hospital help to pay for specialized equipment, research into childhood diseases, supports and services for sick kids and their families.
Jean Up will be a month long initiative ending on May 30, 2023 when BC Corrections Adult Custody Division staff will be allowed to wear jeans to work in support of BC Children’s Hospital. Our fundraising target for this year of May is $5000.00. Last year we were able to exceed our goal of $2000, and I’m certain we will be able to surpass our goal again this year!
Help support BC Corrections by making a secure online donation to our fundraising page. Our support will help conquer the illnesses that affect our province’s children and families.
