For ten years my Dad, Al Paul, participated in Balding For Dollars. I don't remember it myself, but when I was three or 4, I joined him and started to also shave my head with him. Together, for years, we were total hairffarmers in the winter and bald by spring thanks to this event and all the people who supported us. Over the years, my uncles, cousins, and friends joined us in our "shave for the Brave" - and I like to think my dad was the one who started all us Pauls and buddies on this journey to learn about how hard it is to fight cancer and that the kids who have this disease need all the help we can give.
My dad died in 2021 of brain cancer. But he fought it for ten years and I got to get to know him. And I miss him. So I'm doing it again. For him. And for all the kids who have to go to the Children's Hospital and fight like my dad. I hope with my little effort here, they win.
Please join me in supporting Balding for Dollars.
Balding for Dollars raises community awareness for childhood cancer and blood disorders, provides funding to support the oncology program at BC Children's Hospital, and supports kids and their families throughout their journey.
You can help by making a secure online donation to my fundraising page.
Thank you for your support.
