In October, 2011, Lilee-Jean Frances was diagnosed with Glioblastoma (stage IV brain cancer) at 10 months old.
For 2 years, LJ fought bravely and fiercly. She taught everyone around her, both near and all over the world, that "life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to Dance in the Rain". And dance she did, through surgeries, chemotherapy, stem cell harvests, blood transfusions and so much more.
Lilee was treated at BC Children's hospital; a world class facility full of incredible people that we owe her entire little life to.
On September 6, 2013, Lilee-Jean passed away peacefully in her mommy's arms, while her daddy gently strummed his guitar.
For the past 7 years, LJ's family and friends have gotten together to raise money in support of BCCH. This, our 8th year participating, we will be together, but apart, as we virtually run, walk, skip, and DANCE for BCCH and for Lilee-Jean.
Join us, or donate, in honour of a sweet girl who's short life left thousands with enough inspiration, hope, kindness, love and magic to last a lifetime.
Your donation to our RBC Race for the Kids fundraising page will help advance care for kids across the province and support experts at BC Children’s Hospital in their quest to conquer childhood diseases.
Thank you for your support.
With love and gratitude,
Chelsey (Lilee's Mom) and Team Love for Lilee
